We apologize for the delays in service availability and for not accurately communicating when service will be available in specific areas. It is very important to us that we regain your trust and provide better information going forward. Please refer to this page for future updates to the Construction Phases for each zone. Estimated dates for when installations will begin will only be available approximately 30 days prior to beginning installations. Updates will also be posted on our Facebook page. If you have other questions about our service, please email them to email@example.com.
Construction is currently underway to bring South Central Connect fiber services to the Daisy, Murfreesboro, Delight, Okolona, South Fork, Glenwood, and Amity zones. In several of these areas, the mainline construction effort is near or at completion. Although you may not see trucks in the area at this time, please be assured that we are still working to complete the necessary construction and configuration activities required to deliver fiber optic services.
Over the last two years of construction and deployment activities, we have learned that things take longer than we would like – especially when we want to make sure they are done right. Today we are not going to give exact dates that services will be turned on in most areas but will provide an outline for the next several months based on the most current assessment of our project.
All areas go through several phases of construction:
Service is immediately available in these areas. Register now at www.southcentralconnect.net.
In the areas around Daisy, Kirby, and Lodi, we are working to complete splicing activities so that installations can begin soon. These areas will be the next to become eligible for home installations. Our goal is to begin scheduling home installations for these areas in February of 2020.
In the Murfreesboro area, we are finishing up mainline construction and will then begin splicing operations. Murfreesboro is expected to follow Daisy as the next zone newly eligible for home installations.
In the Delight, Okolona, and South Fork areas, we are working on mainline construction.
The Glenwood build will allow us to implement our secondary internet circuit that will provide additional capacity and redundancy across the entire South Central Connect network. Crews are currently installing mainline fiber in Glenwood.
Construction will be evaluated and may begin only after the design for these areas is finalized.
